Check-in was not smooth. I arrived and was told my originally booked room was unavailable. I was downgraded without a real explanation or apology. This felt quite unfair and left me with a negative impression.

the hotel is very close to watford junction station. the location is convenient for travel. the staff was friendly at reception. breakfast offered a good selection of food.
the air conditioning in my room was not working properly. it struggled to cool the room effectively. the parking lot had limited spaces, and it was difficult to find a spot. the area around the hotel felt a bit unsafe at night. there was a lack of sidewalks on some streets.

powdered eggspoor soundproofing
The breakfast was decent, nothing special. The scrambled eggs were definitely powdered. also, i found the soundproofing to be quite poor. i could clearly hear conversations in the adjacent rooms. this made it difficult to relax or get a good night's sleep, especially with other guests returning late.

the breakfast was a decent offer with good service.
the heating did not work in my room. i realized it would be a cold night after i got into bed. a receptionist came to look at the thermostat, but it obviously was not working.. she then offered a fan heater that was quite noisy. i had a very unpleasant night.

I loved the location, its right next to Watford Junction station! Getting to the Harry Potter studios was simple. I really enjoyed the breakfast included each morning. It helped fueling up for my days. The staff were friendly and always kept the area very tidy.
I think bottled water should be provided, it's a little inconvenient there's no shop close to buy drinks late at night.
